About Philip McKernan
Philip McKernan co-founded his first business at the age of 4 when his two older brothers and he started a grass cutting business in a neighborhood of Dublin, Ireland many years back. After a dispute over payment the partnership broke up and they went back to competing in other areas of life such as sport. Philip cites his competitive up bringing with his brothers as a major reason why he is so entrepreneurial. The entrepreneurial spirit was dampened for a while until Philip opened up a tuck shop (candy shop) using his locker in school. He found a niche in the market and took advantage of it by supplying a product that was banned by schools across the country. The business took off and Philip who was 13 got a glimpse of independence that helped shape his destiny.
Today Philip is an experienced Real Estate investor, speaker and educator internationally. He has invested in property in Ireland, Finland, South Africa, UK, France and North America and is an authority in the media on real estate conversations domestically and internationally. Philip appears regularly on TV, Radio and print media on both sides of the Atlantic is and has built a reputation for his no BS approach to what is really going on in the market.
While Philip believes that real estate education is important when looking to real estate as an investment what separates the successful investor from the non successful ones, is mindset. Think about it. We all have access to the books, training, tools, tips and tricks yet some people seem to get it right while others struggle to buy their first property or have a habit of buying the wrong type of property. While Philip provides the practical tools to go out and acquire a profitable portfolio, without the right mindset training or mentoring, people are not going to be truly successful in their endeavors. The inner game of real estate is where Philips real passion lies and he works with real estate investors and professionals through his mentoring programs.
While Philip believes that real estate is the best asset class in the world to create long term wealth he believes real wealth is more about uncovering your true passions in life and spending more time with them. Much of Phili's life was devoted to uncovering and developing his own passions in life. Philip has now devoted the rest of his life assisting other people do the same.
